Reinterpretace akademického vedení: kvalitativní pohled na autonomii, důvěru a spolupráci napříč rolemi v univerzitních týmech 14
Abstract
This study examines strategic team leadership in academic environments, focusing on the specific conditions shaping leadership within university culture. Using a qualitative model-based case study of 120 constructed profiles of academic leaders and research managers and administrators (RMA), the research explores how leadership is perceived and enacted in contexts characterized by high autonomy and limited formal authority. The findings indicate that effective academic leadership is relational and value-driven rather than hierarchical. Three key dimensions emerge as central: trust, collaboration, and shared values. Academic leaders must balance tensions between autonomy and coordination, as well as between individual performance and collective responsibility. Emotional intelligence and communication skills are identified as critical for maintaining engagement and psychological safety within teams. The study further highlights differences between academic staff and RMA professionals, particularly in communication styles, role expectations, and approaches to organizational processes. While these differences can create friction, they also offer opportunities for complementary and shared leadership. The findings are situated within broader transformations in higher education, including the professionalization of research management and the shift toward inclusive and value-based leadership. Although the model-based design limits generalizability, the study provides a conceptual framework and practical insights for developing leadership in academic institutions.

Umiejętności umiejętności i umiejętności AI oraz konkurencyjność mśp w zglobalizowanym środowisku bezpieczeństwa 65
Abstract
The presented study analyses AI competencies and the implementation of artificial intelligence as determinants of the resilience and competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises within the globalized security environment of the European Union. The study is grounded in a theoretical understanding of security as a state, process, and value, while simultaneously linking this perspective with the concept of regulated digital competitiveness. The article combines a critical comparison of theoretical frameworks, an analysis of European Union policies, and an extensive pilot research study conducted through anonymous questionnaire-based surveying (n = 97). Preliminary findings indicate a low level of awareness of EU policies, minimal utilization of available support instruments, and the predominance of financial and competency-related barriers. The outcome of the study is an integrated conceptual model connecting AI competencies, absorptive capacity, technological infrastructure, and AI governance as prerequisites for enhancing the resilience, efficiency, and digital competitiveness of SMEs.

Abstract
The issue of implementing quality management in social service facilities, with a specific focus on conditions, is identified in the Trenčín Self-Governing Region, in facilities providing services for seniors, and the aim is to examine how quality management is implemented in practice, what impacts it has on the functioning of organizations, and how it is perceived by employees and service recipients. At the same time, factors that influence the success of implementing quality standards are identified, and based on them, recommendations are formulated for streamlining management processes. The collected data offer a comprehensive view of the perception of quality management from the perspective of both groups. Based on the results of the survey, we formulate specific recommendations and proposals for improving quality management. In conclusion, we try to contribute to professional reflection and to the possibilities of practical application of the results in the field of social services.
Key words: Quality management. Social services. Quality implementation. Organizational management.

Odborová organizácia ako aktér participatívneho riadenia školy: kolektívna zmluva, manažérska autonómia a wellbeing zamestnancov 97
Abstract
The presented study analyzes the trade union as an actor of participatory school management and the collective agreement as a legal, organizational and managerial tool. The aim is to clarify how a collective agreement in a secondary vocational school environment can influence the exercise of management authority, transparency of decision-making, social dialogue, working conditions, work safety, professional development and wellbeing of employees. The theoretical basis is based on school management, labor legislation of the Slovak Republic and foreign research by the authors Marianno and Relles (2024). The empirical part has the character of a qualitative case study based on a documentary analysis of the collective agreement from 2025. The results show that the collective agreement can act not only as a document protecting employee rights, but also as a managerial framework for participatory school management.

Manažment ochrany architektonického kultúrneho dedičstva v kontexte spoločenskej potreby 113
Abstract
The aim of the paper is to examine the management of the protection of architectural cultural heritage in Slovakia and to analyze its ability to respond to the challenges arising from social needs and the dynamics of urban development. Ist focuses on the theoretical foundations of monument protection, the principles and tools of its management and the social context of protection, i.e. the public perception and its role in preserving historical values. The theoretical part defines cultural and architectural heritage, its importance for society and the legal framework for protection. The principles of management, financing tools and mechanisms of public and stakeholder participation, and the integration of heritage protection into the broader context of sustainable urban development are examined. The practical part of the thesis uses a combination of methods, including the analysis of case studies of selected Slovak cities and a questionnaire survey that captures the public’s attitude towards the protection of historical values and its expectations towards the state, local governments and citizens. The aim of the practical part is to connect theoretical principles with empirical research, analyze coordination between heritage protection actors, participation options and financing instruments, and create a systematic framework that can serve as a basis for policymaking and strategic planning of urban development with an emphasis on participatory and sustainable management of cultural heritage.

Regional identity management in gastronomy tourism: the traditional wafer producer as a guardian of culinary heritage 148
Abstract
Gastronomy tourism represents one of the most dynamically growing segments of contemporary tourism. In the context of globalization pressures toward cost reduction and standardization, producers of traditional regional products – including makers of traditional spa wafers – face an existential dilemma: to preserve authenticity and traditional recipes, or to yield to price competition from cheaper industrial substitutes. This paper analyzes the position of a traditional wafer producer within the value chain of gastronomy tourism from the perspective of regional identity management. It draws on the resource-based view, the experience economy concept, and geographical indication (GI) protection frameworks to propose managerial strategies for preserving traditional recipes as a competitive differentiator. The paper argues that the regional identity of a product is not merely a cultural artefact, but a measurable strategic resource that, when properly managed, generates premium value and long-term competitive advantage.

Currently on the work contract 157
Abstract
The preservation of human society, and even more so its development, cannot do without further investment. It is enough to mention the current challenges in the form of reconstruction and construction of transport infrastructure, dealing with the energy future, the massive development of technology, as well as dealing with the consequences of various natural disasters and ensuring defense. To ensure the preparation and implementation of such investments, a contractual type of work contract will be primarily used.
The regulation of the work (according to Sections 258– 2635 of the Civil Code) eliminates the dualism of the regulation of non-commercial and commercial contracts for work. The basis for the new draft regulation is the commercial code regulation, considering some foreign adaptations, because the concept of a contract of work in the former Civil Code followed its original concept of 1964 and the model of the Civil Code of 1950. In certain respects, account is also taken of certain provisions of the former International Trade Code (ITA), the normative structures of which were adopted by the Commercial Code, but which were often formulated more precisely and clearly in the ITA.
The current issues of the works contract are the focus of this treatise.

Motivation and incentives of generation z employees in selected companies 205
Abstract
The study examines the motivation and incentives of Generation Z employees in selected companies in the Slovak Republic and the Czech Republic. Attention is focused on the identification of key motivational factors, evaluation of job satisfaction, and assessment of currently applied motivational tools. The research was conducted using a questionnaire survey on a sample of Generation Z respondents. The results indicate the importance of financial remuneration, which ranks among the most significant motivational factors while also constituting one of the most common reasons for considering job turnover. Non-financial factors also play a significant role, particularly flexible working hours, interpersonal relationships, and work–life balance. However, the current motivational tools are mostly evaluated as neutral by respondents, indicating room for their improvement and better adaptation to the needs of this generation.

AI kompetencie ako faktor efektívnosti administratívnych procesov 229
Abstract
The paper analyzes AI competencies of employees as a critical success factor in the process of managing the digital transformation of organizations. The main attention is paid to the role of management in building organizational capabilities that, through the integration of artificial intelligence, increase the efficiency of administrative processes. The aim of the article is to identify and analyze the connections between the level of AI competencies, perceived productivity and the degree of organizational readiness, with the ambition to formulate recommendations for strategic human resource management. The theoretical framework is based on the Resource-Based View theory, where AI competencies are perceived as a strategic organizational resource. Quantitative research on a sample of 263 respondents from the managerial and administrative environment demonstrated a statistically significant relationship between the level of competencies and operational efficiency. The findings emphasize the necessity of a systemic approach to „AI governance” and the need for managerial interventions in the area of continuous education, which are an important prerequisite for organizational adaptability and competitiveness in the digital economy.
